Welcome.
Metta is a Pali word which translates to loving-kindness. It describes a sense of warmhearted benevolence for one’s self and every living being. It is in this spirit that Brynt offers his work.
Brynt Beitman is a dance artist, Polarity Therapy practitioner, 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher, and Pilates Teacher. His work in different modalities is unified by his desire to help people heal. Brynt sees these practices as different roads supporting the journey toward greater physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. No matter where you may find yourself - dealing with day to day stress, living with illness, navigating a big transition, or looking to experience yourself more fully - Brynt’s work can help you align with your own capacity to transform. His approach is process oriented and holistic in nature; bringing the body and mind into balance through movement and energy-based touch therapy offerings.
Ever the untamable mover, Brynt has been exploring the many facets of being in a body since childhood. He began dance training at 8 years old and after the first cross-ball-change, he was in love. He went on to graduate from The Juilliard School and has worked internationally as a professional dancer, dance teacher, and choreographer. In 2010, he accomplished the biggest triumph of his life to date - getting sober. This pivotal moment was the first whisper of the revelation of his life’s work to help others heal. He taught Pilates from 2014- 2021 at Groundfloor Exercise, where he completed their Teacher Trainee Program. In 2020, he became a 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher having received his certification from Yoga and Ayurveda Center. He is currently on staff at Yogis and Yoginis and teaches yogis privately in Brooklyn, NY. Brynt is also a Board Certified Polarity Therapist. He graduated from both Soma Psyche Institute and Polarity Therapy Institute. He credits his Polarity mentors, Ellen Krueger and Brian Jansen, for his transformative experiences of the energy body. Brynt’s practices inform one another; weaving together physical, mental, energetic, and emotional exploration. His embodied movement practice “METTAphysical” is the synthesis of all of his experience into one practice. One of his greatest joys is co-facilitating healing retreats with his sister, Brittani Nearing.
